Application & Admission
All invitations to sell at any market are at the discretion of Lux Markets. Acceptance isn't guaranteed, and existing vendors can be removed without guarantee of continued space.
Pre-Market Obligations
Vendors must acknowledge market rules via a signed agreement. All items must be grown/prepared within 150 miles of the market location (Gulf seafood is excepted). Reselling is prohibited unless vendors blend or infuse products to create their own offerings.
Arrival & Setup
Vendors must arrive 30 minutes before market start and be fully set up 10 minutes prior. No early breakdown is permitted, even if sold out. Prompt breakdown occurs at market close.
Weather & Holidays
Markets operate year-round, rain or shine. No refunds or fee discounts apply for weather or poor sales. Vendors must submit absence notices at least 48 hours in advance for non-holiday closures.
Violations & Penalties
Fine Schedule:
- Late cancellation (under 48 hours): $25
- No notice absence: $30 first offense, $60 second offense
- Late arrival: $20
After three fines, vendors face one-month suspension. A second suspension extends to two months. A third suspension results in permanent expulsion.
Booth Requirements
Indoor:
Maximum 6-foot tables
Outdoor:
10'x10' spaces with straight-legged canopies requiring 30-pound weights per leg
Smoking/vaping is prohibited within market boundaries.
Vendor Categories
Agricultural Producers
Must grow/raise products within 150 miles; maintain 50% of sales from own production
Value-Added
Processed products using local ingredients when available; requires proper permits
Prepared Food
Ready-to-eat items under Class B health permits; kitchen within 150 miles
Artisan
Local creations or materials integrated with local products
Conduct Standards
Discrimination and harassment violate policies with escalating penalties: written warning, one-month suspension, then expulsion. Vendors must maintain professional presentation, display sanitary products, and avoid disparaging Lux Markets.
